 CCMSThe Council for Catholic Maintained Schools is responsible for providing advice, support and guidance to Catholic Primary and Secondary Schools throughout Northern Ireland.
The Department of Education has overall responsibility for the funding and policy making in respect to education for all of Northern Ireland. The Department provides direction and guidance for all education bodies in the country.
The Council for Curriculum, Examinations and Assessment have a statutory responsibility for the provision of curriculum and assessment arrangements within Northern Ireland.
The Western Education and Library Board (WELB ) is the education body in the west of Northern Ireland which is responsible for providing various services to schools in the Derry, Omagh and Fermanagh areas. The headquarters of the WELB is based in Omagh. | ||
