Holy Family Primary School, Derry, Northern Ireland

Student Council

Our Student Council gives pupils a strong voice in school life and helps them develop leadership and teamwork skills. The council is made up of two representatives from each class from P4 to P7, who gather feedback and suggestions from their classmates and bring them to regular council meetings.

The Student Council plays an active role in:

  • Planning school improvement projects and events that benefit the whole school community.
  • Organising charitable initiatives and supporting local causes.
  • Promoting pupil involvement and responsibility, ensuring every child feels heard and valued.

Through these activities, our Student Council helps shape a positive, inclusive school environment while teaching important skills such as communication, problem-solving, and decision-making.
