Our P7 pupils had a great day at the "Flight from Famine" educational workshop at the Ulster American Folk Park. Our pupils were immersed in the story of the Irish Famine and 19th-century emigration. Through interactive roleplay and hands-on activities, our pupils experienced life in a famine-era cottage, prepared for emigration, and boarded a replica emigrant ship—gaining a deeper understanding of the hardships and choices faced by Irish emigrants.
